Storyline:

Schoolteacher Ann Loring meets Sergeant Jimmy Bradford from the nearby U.S. air force base and they go on a date. When Jimmy is late for the date at a cafe and Ann leaves before his arrival, a train of events begins involving the murder of a woman in the local park, and Jimmy becomes the obvious suspect.

Ann packs up her books and leaves the school heading for the local park on her way home. Located by Antony Blair, this is looking south through the gates of Fassnidge Park in Uxbridge. Middlesex with the Frays River and the bridge on Rockingham Road in the background.

After a scare whilst going through the park, Ann catches a bus and we see Sergeant Jimmy Bradford (John Crawford) come from nowhere and run after and jump onto the bus Ann is also on. The corner of How’s Road and Wellington Road in Uxbridge found by Antony Blair.

Back in town a production of Mother Goose is being present at the local theatre, with very bad superimposed signage. The Metropolitan Theatre on Edgware Road, London W2, demolished in 1963. The theatre appears in 'The Blue Lamp' and the site after demolition in 'Top of the Bill'. (RL)

Locals gather on the bridge at the park to see what is going on. The bridge is in the grounds of Heatherden Hall, at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire. The ornamental bridge also features in ‘The Devils’, ‘Bugsy Malone’, ‘The Primitives’, 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang', 'Games That Lovers Play', 'The Hellfire Club' and 'The Amazing Mr. Blunden'. (RL)
