Last Man to Hang, The

The home of Lady Daphne Strood where housekeeper Mrs. Tucker finds her mistress gravely ill in bed. Dave W has done well to find this property, indeed even new postpersons are likely to need help. Besides the subtle changes to the property, this is 16 Wilton Crescent, London SW1 despite it being situated in Wilton Place. Besides the tree confirming facts the address is emblazoned in large capital letters over the entrance portico. (RL)

Suspecting that Lady Daphne has been poisoned, Mrs. Tucker telephones for an ambulance and she is taken to hospital.

Flying from the United States, Sir Roderick Strood arrives at London Airport with Elizabeth Anders. Judging by the convenient sign, this is London Airport in Hillingdon, Middlesex.

Arrested on suspicion of murder, Sir Roderick appears at Bow Street Magistrates Court to be remanded in custody awaiting trial. Bow Street Magistrates Court at the corner of Bow Street and Broad Court in WC2.

While in prison, Sir Roderick explains to Antony Harcombe, Q.C. that "It all started the day I was in Broadcasting House." Looking towards Broadcasting House at the junction of Portland Place, All Souls Place and Langham Place in W1 with All Souls' church to the right.
