This is the corner of Grove Place and Bakers Lane in Ealing, just along the street from where scenes in 'The Ladykillers' and 'The Heart of a Coster' were filmed. The area is to the rear of the Ealing Broadway Centre which opened in 1984.
The ramp to the southern entrance of the centre's car park off The Grove passes overhead as it follows the line of Bakers Lane. (PW)

On a busy road, a policeman halts traffic for pedestrians to cross.

When Gracie turns up, the policeman thinks that he's had relief and disappears leaving her to direct the traffic. The Green, Ealing in W5, spotted by Richard Lovejoy.
