This is Paris, France. It is just like any other big city, London, New York, Tokyo except for two little things. In Paris, people eat better and in Paris people make love, well, perhaps not better but certainly more often. They do it any time, any place. After Chavasse reveals to Flannagan that Ariane is his daughter, the American heads off to the French Riviera. Gare de Lyon on Boulevard Diderot, Paris 75012. The station also appeared in 'Pickpocket' and 'Beware of Pity'.

Frank and Ariane walk along the platform. Platform 5 at Gare de Lyon with carriages of the Wagons-Lits company forming the train to Nice. Manuel Gurtner advises that this isn't any train, this is one of the most famous night trains in the world, the "Train Bleu".

Ariane sheds a tear as Frank's luggage is loaded onto the train. In the right background stands an SNCF 2D2 electric locomotive dating from 1950 identified by Dave Redbourne.
