The car passes beneath a high bridge as Herbert cycles above. Valley Bridge crossing Skelton Beck at Saltburn by the Sea. Built in 1869, the toll bridge was demolished by explosives in December 1974.

After the Austin collides with Herbert, knocking him from his bike and killing him, a Motorcyclist approaches the scene of the accident. Saltburn Road with the bridge over Skelton Beck to the centre. Severe storms in the early 1970s left the seaward end of the Pier in a dangerous state with the pier-head being lost in October 1974.

Before the Motorcyclist reaches them, Ambrose (Roy Evans) and his Sister (Rosamund Greenwood) pick up Mr. Speke's body, placing him in their car. Saltburn Bank, Saltburn by the Sea.
