The convicts are driven all the way to HM Prison Dartmoor in Princetown near Yelverton, Devon. The prison also appears in 'Escape!' from 1930 and 'Escape' from 1948 as well as 'They Made Me a Fugitive'.

The magic of cinema sees the prison van actually enter HM Prison Wandsworth, London SW18.
