On board a passing bus, Lucy Barnard reads a personal column advertisement from carnation wearing John before alighting to meet her doom... This looks like the north-east view up Shaftesbury Avenue with the dome of The Gielgud Theater outlined in the sky. (SJ)

Lucy’s friend Sandra Carpenter meets with Detective Gordon and Inspector Harley Temple at Scotland Yard and agrees to work undercover. Looking east along Derby Gate towards Victoria Embankment in SW1.

At 4 o’clock, dancer Sandra Carpenter (Lucille Ball) arrives on Rotten Row to meet with a Bird Lover who “Wants long walks with pretty, unmarried young lady”. The back projection is of Smith Square in SW1 with the corner of Dean Trench Street to the left and the towers at the west end of Westminster Abbey to the top right along Gayfere Street. The footage is taken from 1940’s ‘Foreign Correspondent’.
