If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.

We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

To the right stands the Alcock and Brown monument at Heathrow Airport, Greater London. The statue was unveiled in 1954 and is now located at Brooklands Museum in Weybridge, Surrey . . .

. . . and Nick Boorman took is shot at its present home.

As Paschal Newell explains, "This is a bronze cast of the original statue in Clifden town near Alcock & Brown’s Landing site. Statue was on loan from Heathrow and two business men decided to cast it in bronze for the town before it went to Brooklands Museum where it is now on display." Not really a now but the best we've received so far, so included. (SJ)

Same statue, backside. A great aunt of mine, of German origin, recognised a family friend, at a distance, and, when asked how she had recognised him, stated "Oh. I didn't see his frontside, but I knew him by his backside!". Collapse, as they used to say, of stout party.

Yes, I know the film credits list Alicante in Spain, but I've been misled before. And a peep at sites with pics of Alicante show a sizeable mountain in the distance, with a castle on the top. But Dominic Wild tells us that this is Villajoyosa sea front, mainly Calle Arsenal where the houses have been preserved.

A clue, or a red herring? Alicante? Yes, Dominic Wild tells us that this is Villajoyosa.

Villajoyosa identified by Dominic Wild.

Keith Prested supplies this fine effort (look at that truck in the way!), adding, "The angle is not very accurate but is the best I could do having regard to parked cars, traffic, trees and shrubbery. Quite a lot of changes have taken place to the seafront in the way of pedestrianisation and new cafe areas, but most of the original buildings appear to have survived." This was taken from the Plaza de San Pedro and Keith suspects the fountain seen in the next captures was hiding behind him! (SJ)

The plaza in said town Villajoyosa again identified by Dominic Wild.

Fountain? On the left? In Villajoyosa. Found by Dominic.

My first thoughts were that it was Gibraltar in the background, but maybe Cartagena? Actually, it's Cap Negret, Altea, and the mountain in the background is the Sierra da Bernia. (SR)

  • 'Now' required

So, let's assume Villajoyosa, remember the clue on the bus? And, given the right angle, there is no large mountain at the back.

  • 'Now' required

And this is the same square, with the fountain now on the right. Villajoyosa identified by Dominic Wild.

  • 'Now' required

Probably the same square. Yes confirms Dominic, in Villajoyosa.

Gib or Cartagena? Cap Negret. (SR)

The villa, from the other side, and the girl, from the frontside. Cap Negret. (SR)

Tasty castle, fortress, church, maybe the one above Alicante? This is the Castle of Santa Barbara in Alicante says Dominic Wild.

Paschal Newell admits he was standing in the wrong place but this is the only match we've received to date. (SJ)

The Castle of Santa Barbara.

And another from Paschal. (SJ)

A dam, Spain we assume, near the plain, where falls the rain? Dominic advises that this is the Embalse de Amadorio between Villajoyosa and Orcheta.

  • 'Now' required

Embalse de Amadorio near La Vila Joiosa, a coastal town and municipality in the Province of Alicante, Valencian Community, Spain. Identified by Dominic Wild.

  • 'Now' required

  • 'Now' required

Dominic identifies Embalse de Amadorio once again.
