Major Thomas Brent (Wayne Morris) flies into cold war West Germany from the States and is greeted by Colonel Mark Cleaver (Norman Wooland) and publicity man Johnny Orwell (Laurie Main). Shoreham Airport, now Brighton City Airport, in Sussex identified by Anthony Spencer.

Colonel Cleaver escorts the Major to a waiting car to be taken to headquarters. Shoreham Airport off New Salts Farm Road in Shoreham-by-Sea located by Anthony Spencer who adds that this is the oldest continually licensed airport in the UK. The airport also features in 'Richard III', 'Rogue's Yarn', 'The Body Stealers', 'Battle of the V-1' and 'The Big Switch'.

The pair arrive at the joint headquarters operated by the US and British Armies. Anthony Spencer found Stanmer House in Sussex.

Stanmer House is a Grade I listed manor house set in Stanmer Park. The park was opened to the public in 1953. Stanmer House is now home to The House Cafe. (SD)

Major Brent and the Colonel enter the commandeered house. The east side of Stanmer House in Stanmer, to the north-east of Brighton recognised by Anthony Spencer.

The house was requisitioned in 1942 to provide billeting for a Canadian tank regiment. In 1947 the estate was purchased by the Brighton Corporation. (SD)

The morning after Colonel Cleaver and Major Brent attend a concert with General Harry Goulding, bells ring out to signal the start of another day of counter espionage work. The same shot of St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna appears in 'Beware of Pity' from eight years earlier.
