Bond's helicopter arrives at Vaux-le-Vicomte, Seine-et-Marne, France: an aerial trick shot places this pile right in the Californian desert, the Mojave. The gardens, south-east of Paris, were inspiration for Versailles.

Bit of unsubtle product placement. Moore turns around and heads up the road with a view of Corcovado Mountain from where Christ the Redeemer overlooks the city.

Supposedly out in the countryside. Moore dismounts in the next cut but this could be a stuntman in this shot. The interior (MI6 headquarters) was the San Nicolo Monastery, Venice, Lido, according to imdb, who may have received the info from Mulder who puts this at the base of Rio's Corcovado, the Largo do Boticario.
