If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.

We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

The house, named The Croft, was adjacent to Walton Studios (formerly Nettlefold Studios). It was purchased by the studio in 1937 and was demolished in 1961 after the studio closed.

When the Doctor fails to return and a ransom note is received, family friend Gil Stevens alerts his pal Nick Logan before the police are contacted. The Northumberland Avenue end of Great Scotland Yard SW1. As well as appearing in 'Children of Me', 'The IPCRESS File' and 'Atonement', the location is featured in 'The Crooked Sky' from which this scene has been lifted . . . right under the nose of the detectives.

A refurbished Nigerian Embassy stands to the right in Peter's view.

Another reused shot outside Scotland Yard where American Detective Nick Logan speaks with Inspector Brown. This is the view of Derby Gate from Victoria Embankment in SW1.

Mrs. Manning makes her way to Paddington with a briefcase containing the ransom to catch the train to Hereford as instructed by the kidnappers. The station stands on Praed Street in London W2 and features in 'The Long Good Friday', 'The White Bus' and 'Murder, She Said' among others.

About here shed roof-wise. This replaces my blurry shot from Dec '23. SJ

The train sets out on a journey that has Annette Manning throwing the briefcase from the window when a waved sheet is seen in the country. Platform 1 at Paddington station, which appears in so many films including 'The Bank Job' and 'The Last Journey'.

And another replacement (Nov '23) to improve the angle. Beyond the shed in the open air on platform 1. Very similar position to one in 'The Mind Benders'. SJ

The trail leads to a demolition site where the kidnapper is cornered. Who knows where this was . . . it obviously didn't last long after filming was completed.
