Receiving a telephone call from spinster Cynthia Quelch, ex-Inspector John Morley of Scotland Yard drives to The Grange at Princes Risborough. As a result of the gates, and indeed the house beyond, appearing in other productions Geoff Dodd has established that this was 'Woodside', Allum Lane, Elstree, Herts. (RL)

The private detective brings his Morris Oxford to a stand outside the house. 'Woodside', Allum Lane, Elstree, Herts., as was. Geoff tells us that 16 Allum Lane was built in its place, with a close built on some of the grounds retaining the house name, but that has since fallen prey to the developers as well. (RL)
