A station, identified as Aston Rowant in Oxfordshire by IMDb. The station platform can be seen in 'The Captive Heart', 'My Brother Jonathan' and 'Portrait of Clare'. Our fount of railway knowledge Chris and James Churcher advise that the line used for this scene was used for goods traffic from 1957 and completely closed in 1962. The section north of Aston Rowant to Princes Risborough is now part of a preservation line. (RL)
James just has to "dig further" so together they set off to establish the station location and provide this shot for us as a "now". To prove that his research was correct, stone pieces, engineering bricks etc were found. (RL)

Chris and James Churcher provide this additional screen capture adding that, part of the GWR, the pannier tank loco's were quite regular performers. (RL)
The bridge in the screen capture is now hardly noticeable they advise but the almost hidden parapets and adjacent old broad gauge rail, originally used for fence posts confirmed that James was once again correct. (RL)
