Detective Inspector Bill Rowan (Gilbert Wynne) makes is way into court to hear the verdict. The Central Criminal Court at the corner of Holborn Viaduct and Old Bailey at London’s EC1 and EC4 boundary. Various views of the building can been seen in numerous other productions including ‘The Verdict’, 'Smart Alec', 'Murder in Reverse', 'Dr. Crippen', 'Links of Justice', 'The Walking Stick' and ‘Seven Days to Noon’.

The Bishop's Court area has since been redesigned. SJ

After handing down a sentence of five years in prison to Endell, Judge Lomax arrives home where his wife Helena is getting ready for their evening out. Denis Hoare confirmed his belief of the location by visiting the house on the corner of Perceval Ave. and Belsize Lane, NW3 (RL)

Denis proved the location to himself and us and interestingly, various GEV's outline the changes the front garden passed through. (RL)

Staggering along the river, Lomax stumbles. Looking across the Thames from the shore below St. Mary's Church towards Lots Road Power Station.

The tide is high so here's a fairly shore-less shot. Lots Road power station on Chelsea Creek still survives but has seen alterations and additions, reverting to its pre-1917 name of Powerhouse. This angle is also seen in The Optimists of Nine Elms. SJ

Getting out of their car, Officers approach the Judge while a Sniper takes up his position. Old Swan Wharf off Battersea Church Road in SW11 with the Old Swan public house being rebuilt on the right. The wharf can be seen in 'Salt & Pepper' and 'Clegg' but the pub was closed and demolished in 1987.
