If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.

We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

Privates Betty Brown and Margie White's train arrives late. This is Braughing station in Hertfordshire, also seen in 'Happy Ever After'.

  • 'Now' required

Arriving at the railway station to collect Junior Commander Maddox, Gunner Willie Ross (John Cairney) has his eyes firmly glued on Privates Brown and White as they get off the train. Braughing station stood on the Buntingford branch from Stanstead St. Margarets which opened in 1863 and was one of two stations on the single line that had a passing loop.

Later in the movie Private White (Carole Lesley) waits at the station for a train bringing her mystery date. Braughing station closed in 1964 and has been kept in good order since.

  • 'Now' required

To give a good first impression, Private White is utilised to meet the entourage of officers arriving to inspect the barracks.

  • 'Now' required

The ATS troop stand ready for inspection whilst Major Pym (Naunton Wayne) and Lieutenent Gordon Brown (Donald Sinden) position themselves. The exterior barracks shots, apart from the gate scenes, appear to be a studio set.
