Walking with his dog, a paperboy delivers the morning news to the home of Fanny and Joe Lawton.

At the end of the film, Fanny Lawton (Norman Evans), Joe Lawton (Jimmy James) and Dan (Dan Young) are driven away by Alec (Alec Pleon). West Place in Burnage Garden Village, Manchester 19 identified by Antonette Hunte, who ought to know as she once lived at number 6 West Avenue which is in the centre right background.
