After an evening out, Harold and Freda Strickland are dropped home by their friend Frank Merril before the soft drinks magnate is shot dead when he disturbs a Stranger in the house.

At a remote road junction, Strickland's business partner Frank Merril (John Van Eyssen) meets with Cool-Kups lorry driver Rex Holland (Gordon Needham) and hands over £3000 and a sailing ticket to Sydney before the murder weapon is produced.

Leaving Holland to dispose of the gun, Merril drives to the Cool-Kups plant in his Bentley S1 Continental.

Giving the Shop Assistant time to make enquiries about a prospective customer, the two lads returning an hour later. The Garrett Lane end of Wilna Road, as indicated by the street sign. Every building in this scene has been demolished with Floreat Wandsworth Primary School now occupying the site.

Peter Bywaters explains that the new primary school was opened in 2015.

Having received a telephone call from the Assistant, Sergeant Rutledge (Stanley Morgan) is already waiting near the pawn shop. Looking into Wilna Road from the junction with Garratt Lane. This section of Wilna Road was renamed Farlton Road when the road was bisected by the construction of Sherwood Lodge.

Discovering that not only were the shops in Garret Lane demolished to make way for the school, Peter Bywaters also found that the house just visible in the screen capture, along with others in the same street, had been demolished.

The Sergeant nods to the Officers in a police car parked across the road. Lydden Road SW18 at the corner of Garratt Lane. Unlike the opposite side of the road, that background building here still stands.

Whilst watching the film, Richard Marum immediately recognised the shop as A. Gattos & Son Tools of Garrett Lane, Wandsworth. It was an Aladdin’s cave for good quality tools at discounted prices and sound advice.
