In a darkened street, Mark Lewis sets his small movie camera running as he approaches Dora (Brenda Bruce). This appears to be a combination of studio set and matte shot featuring Rathbone Place in London W1.

A Newspaper Photographer records Dora's body being taken away. Newman Passage, which also appears in 'It Happened in Soho', 'Flannelfoot', 'Das Geheimnis der gelben Narzissen', 'Last Night in Soho' and 'The Frightened City' as well as an episode of television's 'New Tricks' where the upstairs, over the Newman Arms public house was used.

Parking his scooter, Mark arrives outside Mr. Peters' shop where he works part-time as a photographer taking illegal "views" of models. The corner of Rathbone Street, Rathbone Place and Percy Street in Bloomsbury.

After showing old films that disturb his neighbour Helen Stephens, Mark Lewis (Columba Powell) appears in footage where he is handed a camera by his Father (Michael Powell).

Cast and Crew leave Chipperfield Studio following a days work while focus puller Mark remains behind with stand-in Vivian after arranging to make a film with her. The former Gatehouse at Pinewood Studios, now Double Lodge, on Pinewood Road at Iver Heath in Buckinghamshire.

After Vivian's body is discovered, Mark takes Helen Stephens (Anna Massey) out for the evening. The since demolished number 5 Melbury Road in W14.

Helen leaves the library and spots a figure across the road. Found by Steve Crook and confirmed by Mark Amies, this is outside Whitefield Secondary Modern School on Claremont Road in Cricklewood.

Mark arrives home to find Helen watching the films he has made of his victims. The side of number 5 Melbury Road in West Kensington, now demolished to make way for an apartment development called Farley Court, with number 8 in the background, where Michael Powell once lived.

Soon after Chief Inspector Gregg is alerted to Millie’s death, a police car hurries to Mark's house. Abbotsbury Road, approaching the corner with Melbury Road.
