After Scotland Yard receives advice that the son of author Osmund Vincent had been kidnapped, a Detective Inspector arrives at his house at 8.30am.

Accompanied by Mr. Vincent (Clarence Begge), the Detective Inspector breaks into a building at the back of a deserted warehouse where they find the writer's son Johnny. With an estate agent's sign giving away Wardour Street to the top right, this currently unidentified corner may be in nearby Portland Mews running between D'Arbay Street and Livona Street in W1. Paul Lincoln has visited Portland Mews and there is nothing to suggest that it is the location. (RL)
