Leaving a shop after purchasing a toy gun, Grant buys an evening newspaper in which he reads that the jewel thief has struck again.

A cab brings reporter Guy Hammond to the hotel where Miss Lorraine is staying to meet with Sergeant Plinth.

Getting drunk at the hotel, Sergeant Plinth (Michael Armstrong) and Guy Hammond (Christopher Neil) head to a strip club with Grant. Outside the Carnival Striptease Club at 12 Old Compton Street in Soho W1.

Carrying a suitcase full of seized pornographic films obtained by the Sergeant, Guy sets off to get a good price for the contraband. Outside the Buttery Grill at 23 Rathbone Place on the corner of Gresse Street W1.

A wider view to compensate for the little bit of work going on to the right. PW

Sergeant Plinth looks across the road to where Guy has been knocked down with the contents of the suitcase spilling onto the road. The corner of Gresse Street and Stephen Street.

Stephen Buildings survive on the far corner whereas the counterpart Gresse Buildings did not. PW

When two Policemen appear, the Sergeant helps Guy up and the pair make their escape. Facing south-east on Gresse Street W1 with Henry Buildings to the left and the rear of properties on Hanway Place in the distance.
