The Venusian Surveyor (Monika Ringwald) is puzzled as to what sort of invisible barrier causes vehicles to come to a halt. This is looking along High Holborn from Prince's Circus in WC2.
Peter provides a similar shot with the modernized Oasis Swimming Pool, where as a youth he learned to swim, to the right. A poignant location for JT and Reel Streets see "I believe in You" ib010 (RL)

Vehicles stop and start around the alien explorer. In the background, Hair is playing at the Shaftesbury Theatre.
Once again Peter finds street clutter has increased and now provides this revised shot as he wasn't happy with his previous one. (RL)

The Surveyor connects the changing of nearby lights with the stopping of traffic. The corner of Shaftesbury Avenue and St. Giles High Street with Century House on the left.
Peter took this shot showing redevelopment to the right allowing St. Giles now to be visible. (RL)

On another road, the Surveyor notices that the inhabitants stop black vehicles by raising their arms. Outside the Old War Office on Whitehall in London SW1.

The Surveyor decides to try the same. Horse Guards Avenue at the junction with Whitehall Gardens SW1. The same place is seen in 'The Day the Earth Caught Fire', 'The Jokers' and 'Two Weeks in September'.

When the traffic lights change another black vehicle comes to a halt.
This Great George Street looking towards Bridge Street, Westminster with Parliament Square to right. Researched and found by Peter . . . . and here's the proof.

Unfortunately, the vehicle that is stopped and climbed into is a wedding car. Facing north on Whitehall with statue of the Duke of Cambridge left of centre.

Walking through the City, the Surveyor spots a smaller sized person in a carriage and decides to investigate. Soho Square in W1 with Frith Street to the right of centre. Soho Square can also be seen in 'Emil and the Detectives', 'Burning an Illusion', '84 Charing Cross Road', 'The League of Gentlemen’s Apocalypse' and 'Last Night in Soho'.
Peter captures the same location with more mature trees.

Intrigued by it's dimensions, the alien takes the baby from the pram. Facing the now redeveloped south side of Soho Square with Bateman's Buildings leading off to the right.

The baby's Mother comes running when she sees her child being picked up. Looking across Soho Square Gardens toward the north-west corner of Soho Square in London W1.
Peter has childhood memories of the area and recalls that the last time he was in Soho Square was at a wedding some fifty years ago!
