The Postman passes 'Ponderosa', home to Stanley Farquhar, who is reading 'From Russia with Love' at the breakfast table. Having spotted Danehurst Gardens for the previous capture it becomes evident to Jules that 'Ponderosa' was in fact No 29 Danehurst Gardens. The leaded light windows appear to remain to this day despite other changes to the property. (RL)

Driving awkwardly after handcuffing his dispatch case to his wrist before putting on his jacket and coat, Stanley Farquhar (Lionel Jeffries) sets off to work. As per the previous capture, 29 Danehurst Gardens, Richmond, Surrey as identified by Jules. (RL)

Reporting from a rooftop opposite Lady Warburton's house after a night's surveillance, Wrigley (Eric Sykes) phones his boss Farquhar.

Struggling to answer Wrigley's call, the counter-intelligence agent worries about having an unlicensed radio telephone in his car. London Road SE1, between Thomas Doyle Street and St. George's Market with J. C. George at number 104.

Steering his Singer Nine with one hand, Farquhar lights a cigarette with the other. Facing south-east on Newington Causeway SE1 with the bridge carrying the railway between Blackfriars to Elephant & Castle stations ahead.

With the remains of the roof still smouldering, Farquhar turns towards the the building where he works. Richard Crimins identifies this as Lancaster Street SE1 adding that "Nowadays this section is called Gaunt Street, a short section off Newington Causeway. The Esso forecourt was closed in the 1980s and stands exactly where 'The Ministry of Sound' nightclub is now. The building to the left of the garage is still there, Newington House."

After descending into the car park, Farquhar makes his way to his basement office next to the boiler room.

Having read Farquhar's report about a spying device, Pond-Jones (Denholm Elliott) and the Chief of MI5 (Robert Flemyng) hand him an authority to proceed with the idea.

After a listening device is fitted to Disraeli, a bulldog given as a present to the Russian Prime Minister, Soviet Agents begin to be identified and arrested. If we assume that the door number is correct, this is 126 Heath Road in Twickenham, Greater London.

Howard Morgan found much more street furniture and considerably less people during his visit. (RL)

As a result of a misquoted street number on our Site Howard omitted to include the shop to the left, this has replaced the café. (RL)

Led away for questioning, a Shop Assistant serving at a greengrocers hands over a bag of fruit to a Customer. Frith Brothers were at 114 Heath Road, Twickenham in Greater London. Now as Optometrists they are at No. 104 Heath Road. (RL)

In Russia, a cabinet meeting is held in the middle of a lake to avoid the embarrassment of further intelligence leaks. This is possibly the South Lake at Castle Howard in Yorkshire or maybe even the Great Lake.

Using one of the gadgets obtained from MI5, Farquhar parachutes down from his hotel room after Princess Natasha Romanova takes his dispatch case at gunpoint. Looking up at the Royal Garden Hotel from Kensington High Street in W8.

Wrigley looks on as Farquhar explains the adverse publicity carried in the morning newspaper headlines to the Chief.

Farquhar goes on to detail what happened in his hotel room.

Called over by his boss, Wrigley continues to observe.

The Chief asks if Farquhar has considered that the au pair in his room may have been a red spy.

Realisation hits Farquhar that the woman now has possession of the diary that was in his dispatch case.

Having read Farquhar's diary, Princess Natasha Romanova (Daliah Lavi) searches out Dr. Trevelyan at the zoo.

After examining a hippopotamus, Dr. Trevelyan hands over a prescription to the Zookeeper (Jack Woolgar).

When the Disraeli falls ill, arrangements are made to retrieve the dog by Farquhar and the Doctor breaking into the Kremlin.

The pair arrive in the Soviet capital with the Princess and a female bulldog. One of Moscow's Seven Sisters, Hotel Ukrania seen from Kutuzovsky Avenue.

More stock footage sets the scene. Looking north towards Red Square in Moscow, Russia with Gum, then the State Department Store, in the left distance and the Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed, St. Basil's Cathedral, to the centre.

Leaving the British Ambassador's residence, Farquhar and Dr. Trevelyan take their bitch for a walk towards the Kremlin. Littleton House at Shepperton Studios in Surrey, a similar view of which also features in 'Suspect', 'The Strange Case of the End of Civilization as We Know It', 'The Horror of It All' and 'A King in New York'.

Farquhar and the Doctor are tailed by Russian Intelligence Officers from a water truck. One of several matte shots depict progress around Moscow.

When the Princess opens a French window, Farquhar attempts to persuade Disraeli from the building. Castle Howard near Malton in Yorkshire. The stately home also features in 'Barry Lyndon' and 'Brideshead Revisited'.

Farquhar and Dr. Trevelyan run from the building with the dogs.

Pursued by the Russian Intelligence Officers, the two escape to the British Embassy when the water truck crashes.
