If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.

We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

Adams Stadium, a boxing venue where all the action takes place. This is the former Kilburn Theatre Royal on Belsize Road NW6, later the Kilburn Picture Palace and, at the time of filming, Shannon's Nightclub.

The building still stands with a rebuild upper frontage. PW

Happy Burns and Bunty arrive at Adams Stadium by car. Panning right brings the corner of Belsize Road and Kilburn Vale into the frame. The location was seen in 'Ooh, You Are Awful'.

Renovation in progress. It's good to know that we're looking after many of our lesser known film locations. PW

Across the street from the venue, Warren (Michael Golden) gets out of a taxi followed by boxer Rick Martell and his girlfriend Frankie. Facing north-east on Belsize Road NW6.

A skip replaces the taxi. PW

Two men walk by as Kid Curtis approaches the Stadium Cafe to find his wife Peg. Possibly a studio set, but the number 262 is partially visible above the left hand doorway.

At the side entrance to the venue, Peg Curtis (Bernadette O'Farrell) turns when Kid Curtis (Robert Beatty) appears at the door. This is the, now partly bricked up, doorway of the warehouse that fronts Belsize Road between Shannon's Nightclub and the Priory Works.

Replacing a scaffolded general view from 2016, Richard Bennett accurately pinpoints the former doorway.

At closing time, Happy Burns (Bill Owen) and Bunty (Joan Sims) spill out of the pub with other drinkers. Outside the Priory Tavern public house on the corner of Belsize Road and Kilburn Vale in Kilburn.

The pub closed in 2010 but, happily, reopened soon afterwards. PW

Danny Felton (Jack Warner) watches as Happy drives the revelers away. The last scene of the film and the shot that gave the location away as the Priory Tavern.

And the last comparison shot of the day, before a well earned pint with Peter Zazzi, who had also been out taking pictures in the rain. PW
