Eve Gill drives Jonathan Cooper towards the coast and the safety of her Father’s boat as he begins to tell her why he is being pursued by the police. Facing west from junction of Watling Street and Bread Street with Friday Street to the centre.

The wanted man explains that he had agreed to help actress Charlotte Inwood when she appeared at his house in blood stained clothing telling him that she had killed her Husband. Facing the junction of Watling Street with Bread Street in EC4.

Jonathan arrives at Charlotte’s house to collect a clean dress before being seen in the bedroom by a Domestic. South Audley Street, London W1.

When Detectives call at his home, Jonathan Cooper (Richard Todd) panics and rushes to his car. This is Eaton Mews North SW1 located by Simon James.

Quite tricky to pinpoint as there has been so much redesigning but it's here at 21a Eaton Mews North. SJ

The Detectives (Cyril Chamberlain and Dennis Vance) return to their car as Jonathan drives away. Eaton Mews North in Belgravia with the exit to Lyall Street in the left distance. The mews also appears in ‘Escape Route’.

Turning through an arch, the Armstrong Siddely Typhoon speeds from the mews. Looking out from Eaton Mews North onto Eaton Place and Lowndes Place beyond. Location identified by SJ.

Jonathan reaches the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts where he finds his long time friend Eve in rehearsals. Gower Street in London WC1.

Returning to London, Eve drives through Trafalgar Square. Looking north from Charing Cross WC2 with the National Gallery in the left background and St. Martin-in-the-Fields church to the right.

Eve arrives outside Charlotte’s house to find a Policeman (Gerald Case) on duty and a crowd gathering. South Audley Street in Mayfair. The street is also seen in 'Follow Me', ‘The Grass is Greener’, 'Keep It Clean', 'A Touch of the Sun', 'Morgan, A Suitable Case for Treatment' and ‘Bullseye’ amongst many other productions.

After phoning her Father, Eve Gill (Jane Wyman) follows a Detective when he leaves the house. Simon James found number 80 South Audley Street W1.

Detective Inspector Wilfred O. Smith (Michael Wilding) crosses the road and enters a pub where Eve approaches him. Shepherd’s Tavern at the corner of Shepherd Street and Hertford Street in Mayfair W1 identified by SJ. Shepherd Market and the nearby streets also feature in 'Night, After Night, After Night', ‘Booby Trap’, 'Murder Without Crime', ‘Maytime in Mayfair’, ‘Follow Me’, ‘Escape from Broadmoor’ and ‘Monsieur Ripois’.

After the two start to get to know each other, Detective “Ordinary” Smith gives Eve a lift home. Church Row, London NW3. SJ

Walking back to his car, Detective Smith looks back after leaving Eve at her front door. Looking towards St. John’s church on Church Row in Hampstead which is also seen in 'Cemetery Junction', 'Sapphire' and 'Alias John Preston'.

Dressed to attend a garden party, Eve gets out of a taxi to meet with “Ordinary”. Great George Street to the north of Parliament Square in SW1 with the Clock Tower of the Houses of Parliament in the centre background.

Detective Smith sees Eve get out of her cab as he crosses Parliament Square in London SW1. The the drinking fountain o the left was built to commemorate MP Sir T. Fowell Buxton and was removed soon after filming in 1949 to be installed in its current position in Victoria Tower Gardens eight years later.

Simon's comparison shows the fountain in Victoria Tower Gardens as we all know what the Houses of Parliament look like.
