Supersonic Saucer (Children’s Film Foundation)

On a school trip to an observatory, Rodney spots a flying saucer through the telescope.

Possibly the University of London's Mill Hill Observatory on Watford Way, London NW but we're open to suggestions.

Remaining behind as their parents live too far away, Sumac (Marcia Monolescue) and Greta (Gillian Harrison) look down from the dormitory window as children leave school at the end of term. Ravenscourt Park Preparatory School, Ravenscourt Avenue W6 identified by Christopher Matheson who reminds us that the location was also seen in 'Victim', 'Secrets of a Windmill Girl' and 'Spare the Rod' while Mark Davies noticed the building during 'A Hitch in Time' (RL)

Sumac and Greta run off to play in the school grounds where they come across Meba, a strange looking alien from Venus. Ravenscourt Park Preparatory School located by Christopher Matheson. (RL)

When Rodney and the girls comment that they are hungry, that evening, Meba flies from the school and heads into town.

The streets are still as the shape changing alien flies above the rooftops. Identified by Chris Francis as London Road/High Street, Harrow on the Hill in Middlesex. (RL)

Meba slips down the chimney of a bakery where cakes are gathered to be taken back to the children. The Dutch Oven restaurant, now The Arch, at 195 Shenley Road in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire identified by Alan Hayes who adds that the building also appears in 'The Girl Who Was Death' episode of television's 'The Prisoner'.

Antony Blair took this view of the location where there have been a few alterations.

Later that night, the girls wish that they had a million pounds and Meba flies off again. We do have to be grateful for Dave W's journey to school once again for the shape of the facing end of terrace on Kings Road is retained in his memory. Hence, this is Walpole Street, London SW3 as viewed from St. Leonard's Terrace. (RL)

After taking a million pounds from a bank in town, the children make Meba return it to the vault. Identified as 92 High Street, Harrow on the Hill by Antony Blair who adds that the building was built in 1889 as Lloyd’s Bank and can also be seen in 'Left, Right and Centre'.

Antony proves his discovery.

Not able to find a secret way into the bank, Meba looks down into the street below before returning to the school with the money. Dave W tracks this spot down to Cannon Street, London EC4 with apparently, No 52 to the left and No 50 to the right and Queen Street dividing the two. (RL)

Mr. Pole visits his criminal friends in a nearby derelict house.

When Meba is kidnapped by Mr. Pole, Adolphus (Andrew Motte-Harrison), Rodney (Fella Edmonds) and the girls set out to find him. And the fourth capture of Ravenscourt Park Preparatory School, Ravenscourt Avenue W6 as identified by Christopher. (RL)

As with A HItch in Time cap12, I've fudged this angle as it is unlikely I'll gain access to the school, but with a phone call who knows, this may be replaced. SJ

Mr. Pole spots the children approaching the house as they follow Meba's telepathic distress call.

To attract attention, Meba starts a fire on the top floor of the crook's hideout.

The Fire Brigade are alerted. The Fire Engine bears the Surrey County Fire Brigade badge.

The Fire Appliance speeds towards the burning house where Meba and the children are keeping the gang at bay.
