Martin Smith identifies this building as Elmbank, a former nurses home on Barnet Road in Barnet, Greater London. The building suffered a fire and has since been demolished, the site is now occupied by Collison Avenue. On the pretense of carrying out charitable work, William Hargood and Samuel Paxton head to collect the third member of their group. Tom Hearnden recognised Ravenscroft Park in Chipping Barnet, Greater London and that Penfold pillar box appears to have been a prop.

After obtaining Count Dracula's cloak, ring, clasp and a vial of his dried blood for 1,000 guineas, William, Jonathan and Samuel Paxton (Peter Sallis) make their way to the vampire's tomb where they meet with Lord Courtley. Highgate Cemetery on Swain's Lane in Highgate N6.

Robert Clack explains that these steps lead down to the east side of the Circle of Lebanon and can also be seen in 'The Man Who Finally Died'.

A reverse point of view finds the tomb's entrance . . . which is a painting of the steps from the previous capture seen from the opposite direction.
