After Philip Chance (John Justin) and Helen Teckman (Margaret Leighton) sit next together, by chance, on a flight from France, Philip arrives back at his apartment in London. Upper Belgrave Street, London SW1

Building work continues.

Chance is visited by John Rice (Meier Tzelniker) who wants the return of a letter of introduction he gave him. Not being co-operative he knocks him unconscious, but only finds the envelope and leaves. Chester House, Belgrave Street, London SW1

Meanwhile a car with driver is waiting for him. Unknown location.

Rice makes his way to the waiting car. Crossing Chester Street, London SW1 whilst looking down Wilton Mews.

After coming round he receives a call from Ruth Wade (Jane Wenham) who apparently knew Martin Teckman well and he agrees to visit her. On arrival he finds Helen and later Ruth who declares that Martin is her husband and that he is alive. Chance on his way to No12 Ashburn Place, London SW7

Life has moved on.

The messenger (Maurice Lane) goes aboard a moored boat to deliver the message to “Mr Rigby”. Ferry Square, Shepperton.

The background remains very much the same.

“Mr Rigby” emerges to read the telegram.

Now.

After telephoning Philip and arranging that he should come to meet him at the boat he returns to await the visit. This part of the River Thames in Shepperton also features in 'Double Bunk'.

Now the home of the Desborough Sailing Club.

Meanwhile Philip heads off to the boat. Belgrave Square looking towards Wilton Terrace, London SW1. On arrival he finds Rice dead. A proposed meeting with his publisher Maurice Miller (Raymond Huntley) is highjacked by Martin Teckman (Michael Medwin) who seeks Philip’s help. On the arrival of Miller he runs away and Philip gives chase. Peter Brown soon found this one, Great Chapel Street, viewed from Fareham Street, London W1.

Teckman dodges down Diadem Court, London W1 (looking towards Gt. Chapel Street) to hide in a doorway. To meet with her brother Michael.

The cranes and warehouses have given way to City Hall.

They head down to the Tower of London. St Katharine's Way.

Never a quiet moment on these steps.

If anyone was being followed it was out of my camera shot.

Ruth who turns out to be Michael Teckman’s wife gets out of the car to watch events.

Michael turns his back on his sister to give himself up. "Wallace" continues to follow closely.

Considerable remodeling has taken place to accommodate tourism.

In so doing he is shot (in the shoulder) in a “drive-by" shooting from members of the movement of which his sister is the brains.

After Helen falls to her death Maurice Miller drives Philip to Northolt Airport to return to France. The airfield appears in 'Five Days', 'Highly Dangerous', 'Tiger by the Tail’, ‘The Six Men’ and ‘The Lavender Hill Mob’.
