The titles appear over the arrival of a train bringing guests who have been invited to a remote castle. This is Mayrhofen station at the end of the narrow gauge Zillertal Railway from Jenbach in Tyrol, Austria.

Two sleighs leave the station. Two sleighs leave the station. The railway station on Zillertaler Bundestraße in Mayrhofen. Manuel Gurtner tells us that, unfortunately, the station building was demolished in the 1970s as the Zillertalbahn was modernised and replaced with a rather less picturesque one. However, heritage steam trains are still operated, including the then Uv class 0-6-2 tank engine No 3 "Tirol", built in 1902 by Krauss & Co at Linz, which appears in the previous capture.

Hugh Lombard, Ann Clyde, Michael Raven, General Sir John Mandrake, William Henry Blore, Arthur Cannon, Ilona Bergen and Dr. Edward Armstrong are carried from the village.

Through the snow, the pair of sleighs make the fifteen mile journey to a cable car station. Looking down Brandbergstrasse along the Zillergrund gorge to the east of Mayrhofen discovered by Manuel Gurtner. The narrow road towards Brandberg leads right after the curve through a rock piercing, to be recognised in the centre right.

Travelling in silence, the eight guests gauge each other as they are taken up the mountain. Manuel Gurtner found that we're looking at cable car cabin number 1 of the Penkenbahn which opened in 1954 with the Ahornspitze (2976 m) in the distance and adds that the lower station of the Penkenbahn is under 1 km away from Mayrhofen railway station. The cabins were replaced after modernisation in 1996 and again in 2015.

At the upper station, Joseph and Elsa Grohmann await the arrival of the strangers. Hohenwerfen Castle above Werfen in the Salzach Valley of Salzburg in Austria.

Getting steadily drunk, the first of Mr. U. N. Owen’s guests, Mike Raven, chokes and dies after being poisoned. Hohenwerfen Castle plays Schloß Adler in ‘Where Eagles Dare’ and can be seen in the distance during ‘The Sound of Music’.

The remaining nine occupants of the castle find it difficult to sleep that night. Hohenwerfen Castle in Werfen.

As she attempts to escape from the castle, Mrs. Grohmann is killed when the cable car she is travelling in falls into the valley below . . . and then there were eight.

Searching for Dr. Armstrong, William Blore (Stanley Holloway) walks from the castle before being killed by a statue pushed from the roof. Kenure House in Rush, County Dublin. The house fell into disrepair and was demolished in 1978 leaving just the portico standing. The house also appears in ‘Jules Verne's Rocket to the Moon’.
