Two hearses arrive at the crematorium as the rival firms of Grimthorpe and Bulstrode vie for position. New Southgate cemetery, Brunswick Park Road, London N11.

Antony Blair took this view of the same location from ground level.

Grimthorpe (Dudley Foster) confronts Emmanuel Holroyd (Raymond Huntley) and Basil Bulstrode (Bill Fraser) about their sacrilegious behavior as assistant Percy (David Battley) looks on. Paul Welden advises that the hearse used in the production was an Austin 20 bought new by undertaker Robert Collister at Douglas, Isle of Man in April 1926. In May 1963 the vehicle was sent to the UK and was not only used in 'That's your Funeral' but also in 1967's 'Smashing Time'. The Hearse survives and has recently undergone an engine rebuild and some major bodywork repairs.

Luckily, Antony found no funerals taking place when he visited.

Holroyd, the owner of an old-established firm, remarks that he's waited a long time to see the demise of the opposition.
