Following a stay in hospital, Tommy Steele returns to his Bermondsey home where he lives with his mother and father. Dave W is confident that this is Frean Street, Bermondsey, referring to Tommy as "Mr S", he tells us that here, he has to his right, the side wall of number 11 Thurland Road, a corner property ....... This is supposedly Frean Street in SE16 and the style of windows and doors is similar to old photographs of the now redeveloped street. Not 'supposedly' says Dave W. "Mr S" remains in Frean Street and here, having reversed direction addresses No 52. (RL)

After he gets the music bug, Tommy goes in search of a guitar. Francis, Day & Hunter were once at 138 to 140 Charing Cross Road in WC2 but the building was demolished when work on Crossrail commenced.
With only one recognisable building still standing, proof that London's history is slowly being erased. (PW)

A Cecil Gee shop. The company was merged with Moss Bros. in 1988 and the name Cecil Gee disappeared from the streets in 2011. Dave W never disappears from our streets and places us at circa 76/78 Shaftesbury Avenue, London W1 looking towards Cambridge Circus. (RL)

The location isn't fiction though, it's Whitehall opposite the junction with Whitehall Place identified by Ian Hedgcock.
