After riding through the forest, Gustav Weil (Peter Cushing) and his Brotherhood pass a cemetery on their way a Woodsman's hut where a suspected witch is hiding. This has to be Black Park Country Park, Wexham in Buckinghamshire as advised by IMDb.

From their carriage, twins Maria and Frieda Gellhorn look up at Castle Karnstein, home to Count Karnstein and the Countess Mircalla Karnstein. Manuel Gurtner advises that this is Burg Hochosterwitz, east of Sankt Veit an der Glan in Carinthia, Austria. A similar view appears in 'Lust for a Vampire', another of Hammer's Karnstein trilogy, based on the Carmilla character by Sheridan Le Fanu.

The Woodsman (Inigo Jackson) stops the carriage conveying Katy Weil (Kathleen Byron) accompanied by Maria and Frieda Gellhorn (Mary and Madeleine Collinson) as they pass his log cabin in the forest.
