Larry makes it to the next race meeting. It was an odds on favourite that Peter Brown (2) would identify this for us, Hurst Park racecourse, that was situated in West Molesey, Surrey but closed in 1962. The course also features in 'Soho Incident', 'The Calendar', 'Never Back Losers' and 'The Criminal'. As Peter says "It must have been a bad day for the various movie location managers when they shut the place down! (RL)

Breathing a sigh of relief as the Police car speeds away, Larry spots a level crossing coming up. Located by Jonathan Horswell, this is facing west on Bath Road in Poyle, Middlesex.

Still level but not a crossing any more, Antony Blair found that the gates and rails have been removed.

The crossing gates begin to close. Jonathan Horswell advises that the level crossing was just south of Colnbrook station and took Bath Road over the Staines West branch.

Bumping into the rear of the bike in his car, a Bowler-hatted Man (Jeremy Lloyd) apologises and offers to pay for any damage whilst handing over his card. Bath Road at Poyle identified by Jonathan Horswell.

When Larry opens the throttle as the crossing gates swing back across the railway, the Bowler-hatted Man gets back into his car and sets off after them to return Julie's dropped scarf. The level crossing on Bath Road at Poyle in Middlesex with Colnbrook station signalbox in the right background found by Jonathan Horswell. The background buildings still stand.

The coach standing outside the hotel was standing in a marked area that aligned exactly where the car and motorbike were parked in the screen capture so Neil Kenny moved into the road for this shot.

Steve Randall explains that the statues are the Victorian sculptures of Emperors that guard over the Roman Baths in Bath with the arch to the top left passing over York Street.
