Kinematograph Weekly – Thursday 31 January 1935 reported:

“James Carter has designed three particularly attractive sets for big scenes. The Chateau Popinot is constructed in Louis XlV style with furniture and furnishings in accord.

The most striking set in the whole “Vintage Wine” will be that representing the garden of the Roman villa, with a large marble bath.”
