The train pulls into the station, bringing Lucille and Yvette home from school in the south of England. Cromford railway station on the line running between Derby and Matlock with Willersley Tunnel in the background.

It looks like the set dressers went to town on this location with an extension, an entrance and a lovely garden all added. PW

The young friends motor into the countryside. Conksbury Bridge at Conksbury, Derbyshire identified by Neil Webster.

Neil found that the fishing jetty no longer exists, but struts are still visible in the river.

A dam is seen as the Alvis passes. Derwent Reservoir's dam spanning the Derwent Valley in Derbyshire.

The Derwent Dam captured by Neil Webster who adds "The dam was designed by engineer Edward Sandeman and built between 1902 and 1916."

Neil Webster advises that the dam contains over 1.2 million tonnes of stone.

Men are watched as they work mid-way across the dam. The reservoirs lie roughly halfway between Glossop and Sheffield.

Neil discovered that thousands of navvies dug the foundations, hauled stone and built the identical Howden and Derwent dams with grit stone quarried from nearby Grindleford.

After buying sweets, Uncle Fred (Norman Bird) leaves the village shop. The junction of Church Street, Main Street and Moor Lane in Youlgreave with the Youth Hostel, formerly a Co-op store, in the background.

Fred joins the queue for the bus. In the centre of Youlgreave's market place stands a circular water tank, or conduit head, known locally as "The Fountain".

A fence now stops the tank from escaping. PW

Yvette arrives at a secluded building where she finds the Gypsy inside with another woman. Neil Webster discovered Alport Mill at Alport, Derbyshire.
