If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.

We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

Two sisters running away from home trudge through dark streets, when a stranger offers them a lift to London. As he drives off with them a glimpse of a pub can be seen. Through the murk, Simon Farquhar recognised the White Hart at White Hart Corner in Pirbright, Surrey.

Simon presents the view in daylight.

As driver Johnny passes another house, the girls tell him that Christine is interested in modelling. He lets a room out to them.The White Hart in Pirbright again, found by Simon Farquhar.

Drawn to a magazine, Christine finds a feature about Sybil Waite who runs a Model Agency. The pub advertising Double Diamond in the background was The Castle at 27-29 Church Road. It's now The Fire Stables, named after the stables behind the pub which were once used to house Wimbledon's first fire engine.

John provides the view down the street today.

Sybil Waite (Patricia Haines) finds Christine an assignment and drives the girls to the shooting location. Thames Side, Chertsey, Surrey, approaching Chertsey Bridge.

The entrance to Chertsey Lock today.

The car is seen through the arches of Chertsey Bridge.

Signs of the minor restoration work done in 1991.

The car heads west over Chertsey Bridge. To the left is the boathouse which became Chertsey Lock nightclub in the 1980s, confirmed by then resident DJ Paul Linney. In 1999 it was replaced by the Kingfisher pub.

Couldn't get the elevated angle of the original, and the large tree now obscures the view.

Cut to a junction where the car turns left. Nick Boorman located the junction of Bridge Road and Weir Road in Chertsey, Surrey.

Nick captured the view at the blind corner where it would be advisable not to "jump the lights".

The destination is reached. This is Admiral's Walk Pirbright, Surrey, an early 20th-century house owned at the time by a Baron and Baroness, who rented it out as a film location. Simon Farquhar adds that he interviewed director. Ray Austin some years ago, who told him that Admiral's Walk was chosen as he was friends with the Baron who lived there (an eccentric inventer of board games!).

Johnny reaches a Friary Meux pub advertising "Treble Gold". The Cricketers, at the far end of the green at White Hart Corner, Pirbright, discovered by Simon Farquhar.

Comparison shot from Simon who advises that The Cricketers was fairly unchanged until about 10 years ago. It was then substantially redeveloped, only to suffer a huge fire not long into its new life. But all is well now and it is still recognisable from the film.

<?php echo 18; ?>

The house next to the pub, also found with Simon's help.

Now with a large extension as Simon's comparison shows.

Johnny arrives at a hotel. Worplesdon Place Hotel, Perry Hill, Worplesdon, Surrey.

A diiferent look to the entrance, but John Harwood consulted with staff to confirm this was the right one.

<?php echo 20; ?>

Johnny sees a girl leave the hotel that he recognises from Sybil's potographs. There follows scenes of nudity, sorcery and sacrificial rites back at the mansion, but unfortunately no locations, so we can't show you those.
