Accepted into the infantry, Jimmy B. Jervis (Jimmy Jewel) and Ben I. Watts (Ben Warriss) join other recruits in the back of a truck. Outside London Road station at the top of Station Approach in Manchester. The station was renamed Manchester Piccadilly in 1960.

By 2002 (in preparation for the Commonwealth Games), the station had undergone a £100 million redevelopment sweeping away the 1960s design. NW
