After Arthur is given the task of attending the funeral of Alice Drablow before settling the estate, he takes the bus home.

Arthur enters the house where the Bessie is comforting the baby as his wife Stella comes down the stairs with their son Eddie.

Travelling to Crythin Gifford in the north east of England, Arthur and fellow passenger Sam Toovey (Bernard Hepton) alight from the train. Facing south-east at Quainton Road railway station near Quainton in Buckinghamshire.

Finding that there are no cabs available, Sam offers Arthur a lift to the town. Quainton Road station, part of the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre in Quainton. The location is also seen in 'Otley' and 'Metro-Land'.

Driven by his Chauffeur, Mr. Toovey's Rolls Royce approaches the Gifford Arms. Looking west on High Street in Lacock, Wiltshire.

Back in Crythin Gifford, Pepperell takes Arthur to his office. Looking west on Church Street, Lacock.

Once inside, Pepperell explains that he can handle the sale of Eel Marsh House, Mrs. Drablow's former home, and finds the keys so that Arthur can make an inventory. Facing what is now the Lacock Bakery at 8a West Street.

The lorry has difficulty at a tight corner with the trailer's cargo of timber hitting the jetty of a building. Looking towards the corner of High Street and East Street. Manuel Gurtner tells us that the lorry is a 1933 Sentinel S4 Steam Waggon was owned by Goold Brothers of Bath.

At one o'clock, John Keckwick (William Simons) arrives at the Gifford Arms to take Arthur to Eel Marsh House. Facing the Red Lion on High Street.

As they head out of the town, Keckwick tells Arthur that it's a mile or so to the causeway. Facing south on East Street with the Red Lion in the distance.

The trap carries the two men across Nine Lives Causeway that's only passable when the tide is out. The Causeway to Osea Island, Maldon in Essex, also used for the 2012 version of 'The Woman in Black'.

After explaining Arthur that it was he who found Mrs. Drablow's body, Keckwick leads him from the house.

The pair enter an building where an electric generator is housed.

Arthur looks across the island after Keckwick tells him that he'll be back before the tide at 3 o'clock.

Reading the inscriptions on gravestones in the Drablow burial ground, Arthur turns to see the Woman in Black before running back to the house in terror.

Passengers wait on the platform as the train for London enters the station. The former Brill branch platform at Quainton Road railway station in Quainton, Buckinghamshire. In Manuel Gurtner's opinion, the short train is hauled by the Metropolitan Railway E Class 0-4-4T No. 1 built at Neasden Works in 1898. The tank engine was withdrawn in 1963 and purchased by the London Railway Preservation Society, a forerunner of the Quainton Railway Society. The middle of the three carriages is probably 3-axle vehicle No. 1076, ex-Manchester, Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway, built in 1890 by Gorton, Manchester.

Arthur looks through the the office window at Sweetman, Haigh and Sweetman when becoming unnerved after seeing a box that had been delivered from the Crythin Arms. The view is southward along Great James Street, London WC1. (SR)

The Woman in Black appears in the middle of the lake . . . . as another tragedy occurs.
