This is Charing Cross Road in WC2. The 101 Snack Bar was next to the Coach and Horses public house which shares a corner with Old Compton Street and is currently known as Molly Moggs.

That looks like an underground station in the centre.

The location of the original photo was taken from the British Steel car park(Now University College Hospital) looking East at Babcock House /Wellome Institute at junction of Euston Road and Gower Street London. The underground station is Euston Square. All has been rebuilt. The UCHL railings were where the car park boundary brick wall stood advises Ruth Patterson

Ruth has done her best, but buses, trees and new buildings don't help.

Still trying . . . . but after such an effort, who could doubt?
