While bringing up the subject of Peter's hit novel, journalist Rodney Nixon (Peter Reynolds) turns as two aircraft head towards each other whilst landing. Denham Aerodrome with Biggles restaurant in the right background.

Flying Club Members run to help Kay March from her smouldering plane after it skids and crashes whilst turning to miss the oncoming aircraft. Denham Flying Club's accommodation at the south side of the airfield. The aerodrome also appears in 'The Flying Sorcerer', 'Sex and the Other Woman', 'Reach for the Sky' and 'The Wrong Arm of The Law'.

Unable to attain the correct angle, Antony Blair captured the Air Traffic Control Tower and Biggles Restaurant.

Soon after Kay and Peter's engagement, the writer drives to the police station after his pregnant former girlfriend Claire Segar accidentally falls from his car.

When he sees a Constable leave the police station, Peter drives from the village with Claire's body in the back of his AC Tourer. Looking across the pond towards the General Store and the Memorial Hall on The Green in Aldbury, Hertfordshire.

On his way, Peter passes a white car parked outside the Feathers Inn. The west side of the pond on Stocks Road, Aldbury.

Looking around, Dr. David Anstruther (Guy Rolfe) gets out of his car and enters the pub to look for Claire. Outside the Greyhound public house on Stocks Road in Aldbury.

Thankfully, the pub is still trading. (PW)

Involving his fiancée in his plan to make it appear that Claire gone away, Peter makes his way to her London flat to collect some clothes.

The author lets himself into the building where a party is in full swing at which Rodney Nixon is a guest.

Peter fills a suitcase before heading to his apartment in Essex Lodge.

After being introduced to her at Peter's flat, Anstruther contrive to meet her again. Outside the Royal Festival Hall on the South Bank in SE1.

Pity they did away with the embellishments, they added interest to the blank wall. (RL)

The Doctor tells Kay that he often strolls along the Thames when he's worried about something. Across the river beyond Waterloo Bridge stands Somerset House in WC2.

I am sure we all have an opinion on this. (RL)

Anstruther goes on to explain that he's anxious about Claire. The view from the Royal Festival Hall on Belvedere Road SE1.

After confronting Peter with what she has discovered, Kay returns to Moatshanger. The Green at the junction of Station Road and Stocks Road in Aldbury with St. John the Baptist church to the right.

Dr. Anstruther comes to a halt after sounding his horn when he spots Kay. Facing north from The Green, past the pond and along Stocks Road.

Peter arrives at Moatshanger to find Sue Pritchard (Barbara Cavan) pouring tea in the garden while Kay shows Anstruther around the garden. Geoff Dodd identifies this (see also Capture 6 and the following capture) as Denham Place off The Pyghtle in Denham, Buckinghamshire which also appears in 'Talk About Jacqueline' and 'So Evil My Love'. After Nixon appears in the area and suggests that the local archaeological society dig in the woods where Claire's corpse is buried, Peter and Kay head to the site. Geoff Dodd identifies this (see also Capture 6 and the previous capture) as Denham Place, The Pyghtle in Denham. Built between 1688 and 1701, Geoff tells us that the Grade 1 Listed property is seen briefly in episodes of 'The Avengers' and 'The Persuaders!'. (RL)

When Anstruther is implicated in Miss Segar's death at the inquest, Kay follows him from the village hall after telling Peter that their engagement is over. Outside the Memorial Hall in Aldbury, Hertfordshire.

When Nixon begins to blackmail Peter, the author offers to drive the journalist home after drugging him. Facing Sussex Lodge on Sussex Place, London W2. The building also appears in 'The Spaniard’s Curse', 'Mr. Denning Drives North' and 'The Man Outside'.

Following the disposal of Nixon's body, Peter looks across from his flat towards the story's Lynforth Mansions in W3 where Dr. Anstruther has an apartment. Looking across to numbers 11 and 12 Gloucester Square from Sussex Lodge.

Placing the case in the boot of Anstruther's car, Peter then walks away to telephone Scotland Yard. Outside numbers 11 and 12 Gloucester Square.

As Kay tells Peter that he must tell the police the truth, the killer looks out from his flat onto the streets below. Following the Doctor's arrest, Facing Clifton Place from Sussex Lodge in W2 with the roof of Sussex Cottage to the bottom left.

I stood on a wall to gain some height but it was not completely satisfactory. SJ

With murder on his mind, Peter tells Kay that he won't tell them and neither will she. Sussex Mews East with Clifton Place beyond the arch.
