After a night drinking, three naval officers make their way from the Lord Nelson pub. Nothe Parade in Weymouth, Dorset with a previous incarnation of the Weymouth Pavilion standing in the centre distance.

The present Pavilion Theatre replaces the older version that burned down in April 1954, the year after filming took place. (PW)

Lieutenant Green spots the sign hanging outside a pawnbrokers shop. 'The Ship That Died of Shame', 'The Boys in Blue', 'These are the Damned' and 'Melody' also had scenes shot in Weymouth.

The Municipal Offices car park off North Quay. Could this be part of an old building on High Street or was it constructed from the ruins after demolition? (PW)

Having taken the three balls, the Lieutenants make their way to the harbour. Facing west on High Street in Weymouth. The whole area was redeveloped in the 1960s and nothing of the street remains.
