Can you help:
If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.
We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

The approach to the University.
With only a very brief time available in Glasgow and what might be said to be a blank canvas Lionel and Cynthia Sear chose Kelvin Way, with the University above to the right. (RL) ... "Looking south from University Avenue, Kelvin Way, which runs from Sauchiehall Street to University Avenue. This tree lined road is located at the bottom of Gilmore Hill the site of Glasgow University and Kelvingrove Park. Now pedestrianised which makes a Pelican Crossing superfluous." More detail from Andy McArthur who also sent in a near full set of comparisons, all credited to Andy. (SJ)

Excitement from contained students.

Pearce Lodge, named after Sir William Pearce of Fairfield Shipbuilding who donated funds to Glasgow University. The lodge was originally located at the High Street Glasgow site of the university. Dismantled in 1870, stored and rebuilt in 1877 and incorporated in the gatehouse and gateway at the north east gate of the new campus of Glasgow University. Andy

The procession proceeds.....

The procession turns left into University Avenue. The posts are unchanged but the light fittings are not the same as the original gas lantern type and are spherical. Andy

......another twenty yards.

The gate posts and columns of Pearce Lodge are visible in the screen capture. Quite clear in the now capture. The modern keep left bollard has graffiti to no value. Andy

The university porter, perhaps outside his lodge.

Pearce Lodge was designed by Alexander George Thomson known as Greek Thomson for the Greek influence in many prominent buildings which he designed. The lodge had varied tenants throughout the years. The Department of naval Architecture, the Students Representative Council and the University’s Safety and Environmental Protection Services. In the now capture the plate on the door reads, Planning and Business Intelligence. Andy

The uni., or maybe a set? ... Click the date to find out.

Two stone panels recovered from the original university site in the High Street. These bear the date 1658 and the other CR2 reflecting the construction during the reign of Charles The Second. The plaque on the lodge build reads “This incorporates the old main gateway and other features from the High Street frontage of the Old College, built in the time of Charles II. During World War II in March 1941, the Clydebank Blitz, damaged was sustained to chimney heads of the Pearce Lodge. These were repaired in 1946 following the end of the war. Andy

Just inside.

The cloisters under Bute Hall named after a generous donor John Patrick Crichton-Stewart, the third Marquis of Bute. Another generous donor at that time was politician Charles Randolph. The east and west quadrangles along with the cloisters fill with students and their families during graduation time. Andy

Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art..........

Most probably a studio set. Captures of the Glasgow University Chapel exterior shows similar features. The telling points are in the screen capture the four leaf clover stonework is not hollowed out as on the building. Otherwise the actors legs would be visible. Also the number of four leaf clover stones in the screen capture are six in number between the buttresses. None of the balconies at the university has an even number. Lastly the buttresses in the screen capture have no extension protruding. The university buttresses have two on each. One mid way up and the other at the top. Andy

University garden....or a set? ... No similar gate found on visiting Glasgow University. Andy's guess is a set.

The way out.

From the steps leading up to the Hunterian Museum the view is the same. The storage radiator in the bottom right won’t raise the temperature much when the doors are left open... This completes a finely researched and detailed set of nows from Andy McArthur. (SJ)
