‘The Dam Busters’ – Photographs

Alex Pesaro, Digital Archivist at International Bomber Command Centre (IBCC), University of Lincoln has kindly drawn our attention to a series of digitised photographs that were taken during the filming of The Dam Busters. Highlights include aerial photographs of the Peak District dams as well as air-to-air images of aircraft carrying a mocked up bouncing bomb. All the photographs are part of the Jack Hagger collection (b.1931, 1920358, Royal Air Force).

Permission has kindly been given for us to reproduce the relevant photographs but the full Jack Haggar collection can be viewed by clicking here.

ReelStreets is both honoured and grateful to both IBCC and the University of Lincoln for bringing these photographs to our attention and allowing us the opportunity to include them in our Website.

It is appropriate that we should commence our listing with a photograph of Jack Haggar himself.
