If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.

We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

Establishing shot of Britannia Hospital, besieged by pickets and demonstrations and expecting a Royal visit. Friern Hospital in Colney Hatch. Friern Barnet Road, Friern Barnet, London N11.

The gate houses have been removed and replaced by lighted pillars.

A Picket (Kevin Lloyd) stops Professor Millar (Graham Crowden) as he drives into the hospital grounds. The building is now apartments and a health spa. Off Friern Barnet Road in N11.

I think the stars in the screenshot are standing at the second pillar from the far end, very difficult to confirm.

Professor Millar drives to his parking space outside the Millar Centre, which is a matte extension of the hospital. The former Friern Hospital, London N11.

A bit hard to determine where the matte glass started, but it looks like the same tree on the left.

Hospital Administrator Vincent Potter (Leonard Rossiter) meets Matron (Vivian Pickles) as she arrives at the hospital. Friern Hospital, London N11.

This is not the same angle as the screen shot but shows the frontage which is 1881ft (approximately 600metres) long. There are quite a few windows! Does anyone want to attempt the 100,000 piece jigsaw puzzle!

Potter and Matron walk towards the main entrance.

The former Friern Hospital in N11.

Tilting upwards to a shot of Britannia Hospital's facade.

The same Friern Hospital now, that was formerly the Colney Hatch Lunatic Asylum. Friern Barnet, London N11.

The crowd turn into the hospital drive. Friern Barnet Road N11.

Another comparison shot outside the grounds.

Red catches up with the demonstrators. Friern Barnet Road at the junction with Royal Drive, London N11.

Peter found the location was similar to the screen capture but with extra balustrades above the shops.

The demonstrators gather at the hospital gates. Royal Drive looking from inside towards Friern Barnet Road, London.

Peter captured this view from ground level outside the redeveloped site.

The Royal party arrive in Army ambulances. Friern Hospital, London, with a matte skyscraper in the background.

A guess at the angle and depth, as the brick wall on the left no longer exists.

Patients are wheeled and helped from the wards. Friern Hospital on Friern Barnet Road, London N11.

The same building now by Peter who confirms that the former hospital is now in use as flats and a health spa.
