Two teenagers fall madly in love despite their families feuding. When our star crossed lovers can not be together, Juliet takes a sleeping potion. Romeo on discovering her thinks she is dead and takes his own life, only for Juliet to awaken and find him. In despair Juliet in turn takes her own life when she finds Romeo dead.

I was invited to the Palazzo Borghese in Artena last year, and saw the locations of many of the scenes that were filmed there and nearby and I can absolutely guarantee that the notes for the pictures below are correct. Kenneth Parkes.
Masayuki Sasao particularly likes this film and wanted to visit the locations in Italy. After some research he realised that there were no indications about the church square of the film and started to examine the scenes in detail himself to find out the location. When he realised that the wall constructions were duplicated he began to realise that the square was an open air set at the Cinecittà, the Italian Hollywood. View his research and reasoning here.
